Ironies of life !!
If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?
Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are flat?
Why do banks charge a fee on “insufficient funds” when they know there is not enough?
Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?
Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?
Why doesn’t Tarzan have a beard?
Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?
Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?
Whose idea was it to put an “S” in the word “lisp”?
What is the speed of darkness?
If the temperature is zero outside today and it’s going to be twice as cold tomorrow, how cold will it be?
If it’s true that we are here to help others, what are the others doing here?
Do married people live longer than single ones or does it only seem longer?
Can you cry underwater?
How is it that we put a man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?
Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
Did you ever stop and wonder……
Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, “I think I’ll squeeze these pink dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out?”
Who was the first person to say, “See that chicken there… I’m gonna eat the next thing that comes outta it’s bum.”
Why do toasters always have a setting so high that could burn the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?
Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?
Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but don’t point to their bum when they ask where the bathroom is?
Why does your Obstetrician, Gynaecologist leave the room when you get undressed if they are going to look up there anyway ?
Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They’re both dogs !
Can blind people see their dreams? Do they dream ??
If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests? (This one kills me !!!!)
If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, then what is baby oil made from ?
If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons ?
Why do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?
Stop singing and read on . . . . . .. . . . .
Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet Soup?
Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog’s face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him on a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?
Does pushing the elevator button more than once make it arrive faster?

Team India.. My Pick for the World Cup..
Have any one thought of a open debate in a blog??? One in which u post your comments and the comments are countered by another one. This was an concept which clicked to me when I was doing some SERIOUS combined study with my friend.. We were discussing about the recent success of the Indian Cricket team in the recently concluded test match at the Wanderers.. Our discussions lead us to the composition of the Indian cricket team for the world cup which is less than 100 days from now.. And I thought that I should put that in my blog.. So that all people out there who keenly follow the Indian cricket team are invited to post their comments so that we could have a lively discussion out here in Blogosphere!!
I would like to start my discussion on my team with a confession.. I am a die hard DADA fan, Someone who prayed really badly for his return to the Indian Cricket team.. And I am mighty pleased to see the way he silenced his critics by his sound batting display in the first test at Wanderers..
Now coming to the team Composition.. I would like the team to be a equal mix of youth and experience.. and one of batsmen and bowlers.. So this makes my team to have a 7-4 ratio of batsmen and bowlers.. The opening slots.. Which have been a real problem for Team India in the recent past.. My vote for the opening berths would be the evergreen combination Of Sourav Ganguly and the Li'l Master Sachin Tendulkar.. They have got records to prove that they are one of the World's best opening combinations.. And I think the return of Ganguly will bolster the batting strength of Team India.. The position 3, 4, 5 and 6 have been always seen stiff competition.. The batting order's backbone is always the player at one drop.. So ma vote goes out to Mr. Dependable.. Or the Wall... Rahul Dravid, The Captain of Indian Cricket team.. The position of 4 will either go to Virender Sehwag or VVS Laxman.. Virendar sehwag is enduring the worst patch of his career.. And hope he recovers well in time before the World cup.. Livewire on the field.. Known for his good Finishing skills.. Out due to an Injury.. Yuvraj Singh Grabs the position 5.. The sixth position is up for grabs here.. And is tightly competed by Suresh Raina or Mohd.Kaif or The experienced Dinesh Mongia who could also roll his arm over as the fifth bowler.. Then comes the Hard hitting Wicket keeper M.S.Dhoni.. The four bowlers... These are slots filled up on the basis of present form and experience.. My vote for the four bowlers goes to Ajit Agarkar for his recent one day performances.. Harbhajan Singh who has been a match winner for India.. S.Sreesanth for his exploits in the recently concluded series.. and.. The last one is up for grabs between Zaheer Khan who has been bowling superbly in the recent past and the All rounder Irfan Pathan who has been a better batsman nowadays than a bowler.. My vote For Zaheer Khan..
- Sourav Ganguly
- Sachin Tendulkar
- Rahul Dravid
- VVS Laxman\Virendar Sehwag
- Yuvraj Singh
- Suresh Raina\Mohd.Kaif\Dinesh Mongia
- M.S.Dhoni
- Ajit Agarkar
- Harbhajan Singh
- S.Sreesanth
- Z.Khan

Justice Prevails !! But is it too late ???
This was the headlines in a famous daily on the 30th of April. People just read through the article as just another case of a Delhi girl being murdered.. Only coz murders were getting a bit too common in India.. A country where Crime rates are shockingly high!! And this was not just another case.. This was a case which was going to create real shockwaves in India and affect many influential people!!
Moving on.. Jessica Lall -A Celebrity Bar Maid at Tamarind Court.. A hotel owned by a high profile Delhiite, Bina Ramani.. Manu Sharma. The son of Venod Sherma, a former Union minister from Haryana. The convict visited the hotel on the wee hours of 29th of April 1999.. And being served liquor by Jessica Lall.. Liquor began taking its toll on Manu Sharma.. He was in a very intoxicated state.. .Approaching Jessica Lall for another drink.. Which she refuses.. The next moment.. Manu Sharma fires the gun in the air.. And.. Jessica Lall Shot dead.. Shot in the head. Murdered brutally only because she refused him a drink!!
Quoting the prosecution in the murder case!! "Sharma took out a pistol when he was refused a drink and said "I will do it my way" before shooting once in the air and then firing a single bullet at Lall.
Think guys.. Isn’t this sheer money power??? People from the higher rungs of the society don’t give a damn to the lives of middle class people!! This is the naked truth. They play the money game and they know very well that money can buy them anything. Even justice. Which was the trend al these days..
But finally Justice has prevailed in the Jessica Lall murder case. The main accused Manu Sharma has been convicted and charged under the IPC Sec 302!! Two others were also found guilty of destroying evidence and conspiracy. The sentence will be decided by Wednesday. The prosecution could convict the accused on the basis of the socialite Bina Ramani's testimony. The case was mainly re considered due to mass public appeal and the media attention that the case received.. The JUSTICE FOR JESSICA Campaign By NDTV proved to be a real good one in getting public support and thus highlighting the case and giving it the necessary attention that it required.. If this Partnership of Public and the influential media grows more and more f cases like this can be brought out to the forefront and justice done.. The verdict today proves that JUSTICE IS ABOVE ALL AND FINANCIAL POWER OR POLITICAL POWER CANNOT BUY JUSTICE!!

A long lost pal........
This blog goes out to my pal... A really close one (Hope the ones really close to me Know whom i m mentioning here)
I don’t want to say tat he is a “long lost pal”. But sadly tat is the truth. But I m slowly trying to get back to him... The same old feeling of closeness and is missing.. Even though I want it to be like the good 'old days.. But I m sure that it will be back sooner or later.. I think a small misunderstanding will not cost a friendship tat we have carried so well rite from our school days.. Even though we weren’t so close in our school days.. Were kinda good pals even down there.. Hey Pal... I miss u... and those days which we were together...
Starting off abt this pal f mine.. We have been studying in the same institution from the 5th standard!! Real good time that we had together in the past ten years.. Even though I have not been this expressive during our school days!! Itz the college that made us real tight friends.. We have been real good friends from the first day at college.. I was really happy tat I knew at least one person in this new college.. Coz evry1 finds some time to get new friends and adjust to them.. So someone has to be there for u in this transition stage when u move from a school leaving behind a real good gang of friends to an entirely new place termed as "College”!! He was the only friend for me in these times.. When I found it difficult to find new frens even though i used to get new frens pretty fast!! We used to walk together a lot.. And sooner we found good frens... But he was still the ONLY Friend I cud always turn to during those days even though I started befriending a lots of new people.. We became real tight frens during this period.. The lunches tat we used to share.. The last bench Card games during the electrical hour in the first year.. The various times we used to jump outta the class behind the sir’s back.. The proxy system tat we did so well and examples galore!! This was one real good phase of friendship tat I enjoyed.. The times tat we really got to know each other really well.. And I wud the say the combined studies is what brought us even more closer.. Whenever we had to talk something.. We used to do it on the pretext of combined studiz.. And there were a few sessions when we didn’t even touch the books tat we were supposed to study even if we had the univz the next day!!
There have been many a time when we used to share our sorrows... Weeping on each other's shoulders.. Comforting each other tat everything will be alright... And laughing our hearts out the very next moment.. Listening to the fav songs on pc.. Watching movies during the nites we used to meet for combined studies.. And there were a few days when we used to chat thru the nite to the extent tat the chat session only used to end when either of us slept off in between! Tat was real fun days!!
Life had been cruel to me the last few months ... A few untoward incidents.. A few silly things that I did made him misunderstand me and making him distant from me.. I moved into a new set f frens.. And we became virtually Hi/Bye pals to the extent tat even our parents started to doubt whether we had a fight!!
Hmm..... Signing off the blog with a heavy heart... And with positive thoughts tat life will be back to normal soooon.. !! Hey pal.. I miss u.. And I do Realllly miss the good old days of our friendship!!
